BEV MARTINDALE


As a number of you will know I have worked in the Letting industry for 15 years working in Clifton Village as Lettings and Office Manager for Property Concept Ltd a very reputable fiercely independent sales and letting estate agency whom I will always be indebted to. Not only did I learn every aspect of the job from making the coffee to property management, front of house, valuations, managing people and behind the scenes accounts, I received comprehensive training externally and in house giving me the confidence and experience which has led me to here.

However, my journey into sales didn’t start there ……… a very long time ago having started my working career working for insurance loss adjusters I decided that customer service was the area that I was going to enjoy the most and having a personal involvement with people buying and selling their homes even more so.

I have worked for many developers over the years including Wimpy Homes, Bryant Homes and CJ Hole which has seen me sell many homes to first time buyers, growing families, executives and retirees covering Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bristol so you can see all aspects of the spectrum!

Somewhere in between all of the above I have raised two amazing children who have succeeded in their careers and are both happy well balanced, happily married and now expanding the "Martindale" clan - my eldest grandchild is 4 and my youngest is 3 weeks old and really hoping that now my children each have two children it will be time to stop. I can’t afford anymore!

I love what I do for a living and now being in partnership with Terri means I can continue doing something a little different and working just that little bit harder to achieve the results that I believe bring exceptional customer service.

 

TERRI CALCAGNO

I started my working life as an Office Manager and whilst running the office I spent a good deal of my time working on the accounts side of the business. Having done this for 10 years and juggling a successful and busy restaurant business with my husband, Giuseppe I decided I needed to spend some quality time with our two boys who at the time were young aged 4 and 2 years, so I put my career on the back burner.

Once my eldest son started school, I decided that it was also time for me to get myself back to school and study. Two years later I qualified as an Accounting Technician and became AAT qualified. (Association of Accounting Technicians). I was lucky and found my area of expertise and I didn’t look back, I became self-employed working for many small businesses looking after their accounts as well as the Restaurant. (Giuseppe would have never forgiven me if I hadn’t)

Having always had a passion for property, and as I and Giuseppe own and run a small portfolio of properties it was a natural transition to take my accountancy background into the world of Estate Agency and I joined Property Concept Ltd in 2011. Min Bristol all alongside my original role of the lettings accountant.

I absolutely loved my role at Property Concept, a small independent letting agency which had an amazing ethos to all their clients, tenants and contractors alike and it was therefore another natural transition that I join forces with my ex-manager, Beverley and set up our own Letting Agency. “Your property is our priority”, is our motto and whether you are a landlord or a tenant, we are determined to make both your experiences, as stress free and as comfortable as we possibly can.

2 year update - unlike Bev we are still waiting for our grandchildren however we do babysit "Dylan" who is our very lively grandpup and keeps us very busy!

I started as a Lettings administrator working at Property Concept Ltd in March 2015, which is where I met Bev and Terri. I quickly realised that lettings is something that I am passionate about and is where I wanted to grow my career. I quickly went from administrator to Senior Lettings negotiator after I completed my level 3 award in Residential Lettings and Property Management. I find building relationships with clients and finding perfect tenants for each property really rewarding, and seeing all the beautiful homes is just an added bonus!

When Property Concept closed in 2019, I started work at another letting agents where I had the opportunity to learn all other aspects of lettings including maintenance, inspections, inventories, and deposit returns so now feel I have an all-round knowledge of everything “Lettings”

Although everyone at Property Concept went their separate ways, we were such a great team that we all keep in touch as friends and met up regularly and still do. One of our colleagues gets married this year and we will all attend her wedding – Property Concept was a very special place and lifelong relationships were formed.

Bev and Terri have watched me grow from a young woman living with my parents to buying my first home with my long time partner, saw me get married and now have a couple of additions to our family, the first being my son in 2020 - Rex is such a cheeky boy who loves Paw Patrol and dinosaurs and our very lovely Cavapoo called Ozzy, who is a furry ball of energy!

 After Rex I returned to work part time and decided to try something different and started working in accounts and administration, but soon was pulled back into the lettings world by Bev and Terri, and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
